The Seattle Kraken Hockey team commissioned me to design and paint a large-scale mural for the 2022 season. I collaborated with the team’s creative department to create a cohesive mural in alignment with the design campaign “The Next Wave.” The scrimshaw nautical artwork style inspires the concept behind the design. The mural includes select players and iconic nautical imagery that tells the story of the Kraken. Branding style guidelines were utilized to fulfill the project goals and uphold the Seattle Kraken brand. The community mural is in Downtown Seattle, overlooking the Lake Union area.
