King County Metro Bus Shelter Mural.
I volunteered to participate in The Bus Mural Shelter program. The project beautifies our neighborhoods, helps deter vandalism, and connects communities to public art. I wanted to impact my community positively and found an available Bus shelter in my neighborhood, Burien, WA. The Metro program allows for relatively creative freedom in style and concept. One of the project goals is to minimize space in your artwork for graffiti and vandalism. I created a design and style that would engage with the viewer and promote positive vibes. Messages of Peace and love are echoed throughout the mural. Bright colors help evoke an uplifting feeling. The psychedelic, detailed style immerses the viewer in the mural while waiting for the bus.
