La Plaza De White Center
Signage Project
Hand-painted signage project for three businesses sharing a White Center business district storefront. A collaboration with the White Center CDA to help create awareness for local businesses while improving the area and deterring graffiti and vandalism. The inspiration for the design style came from researching the ro’tulos signage in Mexico. Bright colors and geometric patterns pay homage to a Latin style and mood. Incorporating the same lettering for all the business names allows for cohesiveness and legible wayfinding. Utilizing the wall space increases engagement with the target audience. I collaborated with the store ownership and the CDA to provide conceptual sketches, a digital rendering, and a mural mockup before starting paint production.
