KEXP Radio Poster Design. Where the music matters. Listener Powered!
KEXP is a non-commercial radio station based in Seattle. The station celebrated a massive milestone with 50 years of broadcasting music and live performances. I created a poster design to showcase the unique station to show my appreciation for the program. The screen-printed posters were limited to a quantity of 50. The station used some of the posters for gift giveaways for donating members.
The concept behind the design was inspired by the cult classic movie Pirate Radio. I envision KEXP as one of the last Pirate Radio stations that allows their DJs complete control of the music selection. The trademark ship Caroline was converted to the KEXP vessel, which broadcasts over Puget Sound and worldwide.
